City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson welcomed defender Kiatprawut Saiwaew, 21, defender Suree Sukha, 25, and striker Teerasil Dangda, 19, to Eastlands.
The trio are accompanied on the trip to north-west England by Thailand coach Chanvit Polchovin.
City have won both of their English Premier League matches so far under Thaksin's ownership and former England manager Eriksson's management.
"We are going to look at them over the next two weeks, they are three players from Thailand and of course we have a great connection with that country," Eriksson said.
"One is a right (sided) defender, said to be one of the best in Asia, and there is a central defender and a striker as well. They are all senior international players, they are going to stay with us together with their coach for two weeks and then we'll see.
"It's good to have connections with another country, and they are full internationals so they will be good players.
"They are young also, and the way this club brings on young players is a strength of ours, so they will all have the chance to do well here."
